YMCA Back-To-School Reaches Semi Final Stage

YMCA is synonym to basketball in Liberia. Many old and new players at some point passed through the walls of the Y either during their vacation basketball program or the basketball tournament which is held annually for schools in and around Monrovia.

This year’s Back-To-School Tournament started with 26 schools from the environs of Monrovia and Paynesville Cities.

After all the dust and smoke has settled, four schools are now in the semi finals for who will be crowned winners for 2021 edition.

Favorite St Edward is schedule to take on Riverview Christian Academy. St. Edward is led by Visioneers’ Fedolph Marshall who just last week kicked out is older brother team Bushrod Bulls. Fedolph is looking to single handed bring home the championship. Last year, he and his brother Carlos led their school to the championship which they eventually won.

In the second semi final, Bethesda will be hosting Light International. This is expected to be a cracker as Light International as notable players such as Levi Knowlden.

The final is expected to be a best of three series at a date to be announce.

The first semi is schedule for today, June, 10th and the second semi is June 11th.

    Where are the stats of each game? Playing games without stats are NOT good for the development of basketball in Liberia
