What next for Fedolph Marshall?

Fedolph (6’6″, 190lbs) is now becoming a household name in the basketball arena here in Liberia. The young student athlete is blossoming into what many didn’t expect in such a long time.

“Fedolph game has really change!” remarked T-Boy, a staff at the YMCA who sits in as table official at the YMCA Back To School Basketball Tournament.

Fedolph with the YMCA Trophy

Fedolph lead his school to win the YMCA tournament for the fourth time in a row. Many were of the notion that the previous three wins were due to his elder brother, Carlos Marshall who graduated last year from St. Edwards Catholic School in Logan Town.

Fedolph and his school won against Light International in a best of three series, losing the first one then winning the following two matches. He averaged 30+ points in the three games with at least 10 rebounds to go along with his scoring.

Fedolph currently play for newly promoted side to division one, Visioneers. We reported the story here when he first got recruited for the then D2 team. He was dynamic when Visioneers defeated his elder brother team out of the knock-out tournament, a fete many still talk about to this day.

So what is next for him? Liberiabasketball.com caught up with him during one of his team practices:

“Currently, I am not allowing the championship at the just concluded YMCA games to get to my head.” he said. “I just want to get better at my game. Now I feel more comfortable dribbling the basketball and creating my own shot. I just want to grow with my team mates and win the D1 the coming season.”

That is very much evidence in the above video where he dribble in the lane for a rim shaking dunk!

That is a herculean task the young chap has his sight on. With such confidence he has we will be following closely. Congrats to you Fedolph and the rest of the Confessors of St Edward.
